I picked up the book as I heard some really good comments about it. BUT, I regret reading it now. I would have DNFed the book long back but I kept on reading in a hope that the book might pace up later. Which it didn’t.!
The story revolves around a Glass Hotel on a secluded Island. The book talks about the stories of multiple people and how they are all connected(somewhat). There's mysteriously disappearing people, there's an element of bankruptcy, a Ponzi scheme element, a trophy wife & a rich sugar daddy, some life struggles, and some more issues. So many things pushed into a single story, made the whole storyline a bit disastrous. There's so much that's going on. The worst thing I felt while reading was: the POV kept changing drastically, and suddenly you were reading a whole different story. They didn't really connect much up until the very end. Yes, the characters were present in the same place, but there was not much connection between what was really happening in their lives. The story didn’t hold in one person’s pov and was off on so many levels.
To be fair, the only reason I completed it because it wasn’t that thick (thankfully). If I could say the things I kind of find tolerable (the reason for 2.5 stars) is the ending did connect from the first half of the book. The final climax of Vincent was very similar to her mum, which was quite clever.
Overall, the book didn’t quite felt right to me and I am not very happy with it.
